The PP-500 package includes an SP-510-SS upper optic thermo solar intensity meter sensor head with 30 cm cable, a microCache Bluetooth micrologger, an AA-090 neoprene sleeve, an additional 2545 microCache battery, and an AM-020 Apogee PVC sensor platform. Paired together, the two devices are powerful tools for monitoring photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) with research-grade accuracy for optimal plant growth.

The SP-510-SS sensor is typically used in shortwave radiation measurement in agricultural, ecological, and hydrological weather networks. The sensor is also used to optimize photovoltaic systems.
