Vaisala K-PATENTS® Digital Shunt Control System DD-23- Recovery Boiler Safety

The Vaisala K-PATENTS SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer sensor is fitted with a SAFE-DRIVE isolation valve to safely and easily insert and retract the refractometer at full operating pressure without closing the liquid line valve or closing the process. The SAFE-DRIVE isolation valve contains a steam cleaning system for automatic cleaning of the prism. The system contains a SAFE-DRIVE Retractor tool SDR-23 for safely inserting and retracting sensors.

Each refractometer is a completely independent measurement system. Each system sends a separate mA output signal that can be used by the control system or the DCS.

The DD-23 system is fully controlled by a microprocessor. Digital signal transmission and diagnostics implemented by the microprocessor ensure error-free operation.
